Young Life is an initiative that I personally believe in and ask each of us to pray for and encourage. Why? Because unlike many youth ministries today, Young Life connects with junior and senior high youth in and through their local schools – where the youth spend 40% of their waking hours.
With the permission of school leadership, Young Life invites youth to activities, both in groups and one to one. They ultimately build trust relationships with them, with the hopes of introducing them to Christ for a lifetime.
In short, Young Life goes to youth, where they live, work and play, and share Christ.
As you can imagine, most of the work done by Young Life is accomplished by volunteers, sacrificing their time to care for youth. The programs are also established and managed by the kind donations of generous individuals in Edmonton.
